Trip to BR Hills : Brief Travelogue

Last weekend, we went to BR Hills, Chamraj Nagar, Karnataka.

Route Taken :  Bangalore Marathahalli ORR, Kanakapura Road, Kanakapura, Malavalli, Kollegal,Yelandhur, BR Hills.

Travel Time : 3hr 30 mins to 4 hours.

Road : 95% of the Road is good, almost traffic free.

Distance : 193 Kms.

Duration : 2 Days 1 Night.(1st week of Oct'2013).
On Day 1,  Left Bangalore by 6 am. Checkin at 12 noon Gorukana
On Day 2, Check out by 12 noon, had lunch by 2 pm, reached Bangalore by 6.00 pm. (took Nice road to avoid traffic).

Key Things to do :

1. On the way, from Kollegal, take a diversion for Shivasamudra falls. (also known as Barachukki falls)
2. BR Hills Jungle Safari (Mostly Deers, found a lone Tusker too).
3. BR Hills - Billigiri Ranga Temple
4. Trek
5. Visit to Tribal Habitats

We did only #1 & #2.
