It has taken 12 years since my graduation to earn some money for the down payment of 2 BHK flat in Bangalore. Better late than never - Its the first "own" house in two generations.
Lack of foresight made me miss some wonderful opportunities that came my way when I was in Chennai. Now being married with a kid, I wonder if I will really get a chance to buy another flat / house in my life time.
Initially I had lot of reluctance in buying a flat for obvious reasons. I had to convince after facing the reality - cost of Independent House getting in to a crore & half.
Fortunately I got to deal with good House owners in the past 13 years. That kept me in a comfort zone.
After moving in to the new house that I "own", the feeling is different for sure. It gives that confidence & helps to elevate yourself among the society.
Hoping for better days ahead in the new place which gives that sense of belongingness !!!
